My Profile


Adetunji holds a Masters in Communications research from the University of Leicester, an LLB Law from South Bank University London, and is a graduate of Sociology from the University of Lagos.

His professional qualifications include Stockbroking, Certificate in Wine from the Cape Wine Academy and Certificates in Real Estate and Insurance from the UK and South Africa respectively.  He is an alumnus of the Henley Business School Executive Speaker Programme. Adetunji is also a Bloomberg Media Certified Financial Journalist. He holds a certificate of attendance in Mandarin from The WITS Language School.

An Africa enthusiast dedicated to telling the African story across the continent on an array of topics dealing with politics, economics, human rights and current affairs,  Adetunji is frequently invited to speak on Africa’s challenges and opportunities at conferences, such as the Brenthurst Foundation/ Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Africa’s Swing States, Lake Como Italy 2015, corporate leadership sessions such as Dow Chemical, Expanding into Nigeria, Johnson and Johnson- Cape Town, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Attorneys, ‘Nigeria’s challenges and the new government’s response’ and is a regular speaker at Gordon Institute of Business Sciences, the South Africa/ Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of African Renaissance.  Adetunji is a frequent speaker on the theme’ Africa in the 21st century (The next 50 years). He is heavily connected to African Ambassadors, multi-lateral pan African organisations  such as African Development Bank, NEPAD, UNECA, The African Union, Pan African Parliament and The Africa Progress Panel and the United Nations

He is frequently requested by media to comment on issues surrounding African economies, markets, opportunities and challenges on mediums such as CNBC Africa, CGTN Africa, Talk Radio 702, Power FM, Metro FM and Forbes Africa

Adetunji is a regular contributor on Kaya FM 95.9, drive time as well as SABC Channel Africa, Newzroom Afrika on DSTV Channel 405 discussing business in Africa and writes for several African media titles. He has presented Afrobizz on Kaya FM since August 2016 and Africa Now on Africa Business Radio since May 2018. He is also the anchor of Thirty with Adetunji Omotola and founder of Africa Now Media.

Passionate about wine lifestyles Adetunji has been blazing the trail in the wine industry across Africa over the last six years with his companies Veine Wines and African Wine Circle. Before joining the wine industry Adetunji worked at Old Mutual (Private Wealth management) in Hyde Park, Johannesburg with high net worth clients and was top of the country out of 4000 brokers in July 2006.

He is the founder of the Guild of Nigerian Professionals- South Africa, an initiative borne out of a need to adopt a more proactive stance around issues that affect Nigerians and the need for Nigerian professionals to support each other and add value to the larger community.

He is also passionate also about the development of women and children and is a true African who has visited, Togo, Ghana, Benin Republic, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya , Zambia, Egypt , Rwanda and Tanzania.
